Community and Volunteer Engagement Specialist
Concussion & CTE Foundation Community and Volunteer Engagement Specialist Will Renken

Will joined the Concussion & CTE Foundation in July 2026, bringing a background that spans neuroscience research and nonprofit development. He supports volunteer engagement across the Concussion & CTE Foundation’s programs and channels, as well as clinical research recruitment.

Will graduated from Brown University with a BS in Neuroscience and worked directly in brain injury research — conducting cognitive assessments at Rhode Island Hospital’s Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Center and co-authoring published research on cortical injury in Brown’s Hoffman-Kim Lab. He also helped build The Farmlink Project, a national food recovery nonprofit, mobilizing a community of more than 100 volunteers during its rapid early growth.

A varsity water polo player and three-time Academic All-American at Brown, Will’s playing career was cut short by concussions — an experience that shaped both his neuroscience studies and his commitment to safer sports. He is excited to combine his personal experience and passion for community building to help End CTE.
